As we know, experimental mechanics research is a gateway to deeply understand the behavior of materials, structures, and systems in order to providing the necessary and reliable physical basis to support the analytical and computational approaches in the engineering solutions. Therefore, the Asian Society of Experimental Mechanics (ASEM) was established to promote interaction between academia, societies and organizations in the Asian Region and beyond. To achieve this, a steering committee comprising three members from different regions in Asia has been formed. The committee supports National/International Conferences, Exhibitions, Seminars and Workshops with a view to promoting the Asian Experimental Mechanics Community.
The Asian Conference on Experimental Mechanics (ACEM) is a prestigious series of an international conference planned and organized by the ASEM. The 1st ACEM was held at Taipei in Taiwan on 2002 and the 2nd conference at Nagoya in Japan. The ACEM 2017, the 16th conference, will be held in Bali International Convention Centre, Indonesia from August 28~31, 2017. The organizing committee graciously invite you to join the ACEM 2017. We sincerely hope all of you will have the valuable discussion with participants, happily enjoy the exciting social events, and deeply understand Indonesia cultures.
Chairman of ASEM
